Redesign of the 1200m2 Parisian office for Melty Network.
Since 30% of the overall superficies is allocated for informal workingspaces,La Prairie has been designed, it is the space where people meet, talk and work informally, which inspired the concept of natural atmosphere of wooden seats and tables. At such innovative Hi-Tech startup, the over presence of computers, laptops, TVs is always dominating, therefore it was important to create balanced and comfortable working atmosphere. La Prairie is a space designed to answer the need of informal meetings and relaxation, it is even known now as a special place to do a "pique-nique" for melty major clients.
After opening a new office branch in Milano (Italy) and soon in Brazil, we set up the concept of "The Rainbow" which is mainly a 24/7 video projection connecting the two countries visually together allowing collaborators to communicate easily, creating one working space, despite the geographical boundaries.
As melty is successfully expanding nowadays, we take the decision to design an international theme for all the upcoming working places, The concept is based on Developping a design identity for Melty`s working spaces providing similar atmosphere for all collaborators despite their location whether they work from Milan, Paris or Brazil.
Dynamic yet Affordable
Showing off is not anymore a target for firms nowadays since the financial crises apparently have major impact on designs, therefore now collaborators tend to have firms which are able to do well designed yet economic working spaces, therefore our method is to find solutions, combining these tow criterias together, for example we have substituted an entry portal with friendly "barrier pavillionaire" which functions well as a security devise and yet considered nice to see.
|Melty office privilegies larges spaces with perspectives and deep visual perspectives.||Each of the 3 meeting rooms are themed and designed acordingly. A huge graphic wall play the role of a natural signage.|
As a second story, the signage takes place in the bottom of the doors and in some unusual parts. It is here when you look for informations but is barely visible otherwise and doesnt break the visual clearness of the overall design.
|Melty is a community oriented firm, and the signage shows some people discussing while indicating functions and directions.|
